Double-ended substations with dead-earthed neutral, PKTPVR type
Function, field of application field.
Double-ended complete transformer substations are designed to receive, convert and distribute electric energy of three-phase alternating current with the frequency 50 Hz in systems with dead-earthed neutral of transformer at the low voltage side.
PKTPVR are applied in power supply of industrial and other facilities, building areas, agricultural, farmer and municipal facilities and in electric power distribution systems.
Construction
Constructively substation is made in the form of kiosk type module and has built-up and welded construction. Framework is load-bearing and bears hardest dynamic impacts.
Substation consists of following structural components:
1) HV switchgear cabinet;
2) LV switchgear cabinet;
3) High-voltage bushing;
4) Transformer’s chamber.
HV and LV switchgear cabinets are placed on metal framework. HV switchgear cabinet has external door equipped with padlock.
Inside HV switchgear cabinet following equipment is installed:
- for bushing two gas-blast load-break switches of VNP-M/630-20z U2 type with grounding blades for are used;
- to connect transformer to gas-blast load-break switch of VNP-M/630-20z U2 type with grounding blades, safety fuses, device to issue switch-off command in case of fuse failing;
LV switchgear cabinet has double-leaf gates and they are equipped with trick locks, different from locks of HV switchgear and transformer’s chamber.
Inside LV switchgear cabinet following equipment is installed:
- equipment unit;
- incoming switch/incoming knife switch
- switching devices for outgoing feeders protection (automatic switch/knife switch with safety fuses);
- socket for portable light lamp switching, voltage of 36 V.
Power transformer is detached from HV and LV switchgear cabinets by metal partitions. Power transformer chamber has double-leaf gates on two sides.

* disconnector installation is possible
